Marriott is adding another safari camp in Tanzania’s Serengeti: Mereshi Safari Camp Serengeti, part of its Autograph Collection. Cash rates start at $1,967 per night for double occupancy, and bookings open January 4, 2027, although Marriott’s own site lists the opening as November 2027, according to The Points Guy.
Designed by Arusha-based Dunia Designs, the main lodge draws on indigenous acacia trees. Guests sleep in tents, though the room count has not been published. The lodge has a bar, shared lounge and dining spaces, a private boma for firelit sundowners and dinners, a deck overlooking a water feature, a small spa, a pool, a fitness center and a curio shop. The main restaurant is called Mila.
The nightly rate is built to be all-inclusive in practice. It covers all meals, select alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, two shared game drives and guided walks each day with refreshments, a traditional boma dining experience, laundry, Wi-Fi and return transfers from the Fort Ikoma or Seronera airstrips.
Award rates have not been published. Sister property Mapito starts at around 190,000 points per night, and the Points Guy author expects Mereshi to be similar. From January 4 through March 27, eligible bookings earn 25,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points with code S2449.
