KLM has again extended its suspension of flights to the Gulf. According to Aviation Week’s October 27 roundup, Riyadh and Dammam stay suspended through November 27, 2026, while Dubai will not resume until the summer 2027 schedule begins on March 28.
That means the Dutch carrier will be absent from Dubai for the whole winter season, a notable gap on a route that normally carries heavy leisure and connecting traffic between Europe and Asia.
The airline has cancelled the three routes since March 1, citing the situation in the Middle East, which has been tied to the war in Iran and subsequent attacks across the region. It has pushed the restart date back several times, including an earlier extension announced in July.
Travelers booked on KLM to these cities should check for rebooking or refund options and consider other carriers that still serve the Gulf. The extension also shows how slowly some European airlines are returning to the region even as others expand there.
