Delta Spent 14 Months Perfecting What You Sip in Business Class

A business class airline cabin

Delta Air Lines is refreshing its premium cabin, and the details run to the glass. The redesigned Delta One experience debuts this autumn on transoceanic flights from Los Angeles, with a network-wide rollout planned for early 2027. The airline says the changes reflect more than 14 months of testing and customer feedback.

Beverages get unusual attention. Delta says it evaluated more than 1,600 wines with Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson, and Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon joins the onboard bar. On the food side, a Wagyu beef burger appears on the menu.

Comfort items are part of the update as well. Passengers can expect Missoni amenity kits and an additional pillow. The sleep and dining touches are the kind of small upgrades that airlines hope will make a premium ticket feel different from a competitor’s, particularly on long overnight routes.

A larger change follows in 2027, when the Airbus A350-1000 is due to debut a next-generation Delta One suite. For now, travelers booked on Los Angeles departures to overseas destinations are the first to see the new service, so it is worth checking the aircraft and route before assuming the refresh will be onboard.
