Hilton Is Betting Big on Sydney, Tokyo and Miami Beach in 2027

Hilton has put dates on a long list of luxury hotels it plans to open next year, and the headline names are Waldorf Astoria properties in three very different cities. The company announced the lineup on October 29, saying the program spans more than 30 countries. The dates are anticipated rather than confirmed.

Waldorf Astoria Sydney is targeted for the third quarter of 2027 at Circular Quay, with chef Curtis Stone expected to oversee dining. Waldorf Astoria Tokyo Nihonbashi is slated for autumn 2027, and Waldorf Astoria Miami Beach for winter 2027 with 348 renovated oceanfront suites.

Beach lovers get options too. Conrad Corfu in Greece is planned for spring 2027 with 136 rooms, suites and villas, while Hilton Mykonos Beach Resort and Spa is also due in spring. In the Indian Ocean, Coco de Mer Maldives, part of the Tapestry Collection, is expected in the second quarter with 75 keys, about 25 minutes by speedboat from Malé.

Hotel opening dates have a habit of slipping, so travelers eyeing a first-week stay should wait for booking engines to confirm availability. Still, the spread of locations, from harbor-front Sydney to Greek islands, shows where the company expects demand for high-end travel to be strongest.
