A Spanish Beach-Hotel Brand Just Crossed the Atlantic for the First Time

A beachfront resort on the Caribbean coast of Cancún

Amàre Hotels, a brand known for Mediterranean beach hotels in Marbella, Ibiza and Sancti Petri, has opened its first property in the Americas. Amàre Cancún Adults Only All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, welcomed guests from 31 October with 429 suites on Playa Langosta in Cancún’s Hotel Zone.

The opening marks several firsts: it is the first hotel outside Spain for operator Fuerte Group and the first Curio Collection by Hilton property in Cancún, as confirmed in Hilton’s 2 November announcement. The Hilton tie-in also means stays count toward the Hilton Honors loyalty programme.

The resort sits at kilometre 4.5 of Boulevard Kukulcán between the Caribbean Sea and Nichupté Lagoon, close to where the ferries to Isla Mujeres depart. Every accommodation is a suite with outdoor space and sea or lagoon views, and there are seven restaurants and two rooftop infinity-pool areas. Two of the restaurants, TEPPAN and LA CAVA, carry additional charges even on an all-inclusive rate.

The hotel also has a nine-treatment-room spa and a premium service tier called The One across 111 suites. It says the shape of the bay helps shelter the beach from sargassum for much of the year, although conditions vary by weather and season. For adults-only travellers weighing Cancún options, it adds another beachfront choice with a food-and-music focus.
