Visit Qatar used the World Travel Market in London on November 4 to unveil a stopover offer aimed squarely at British travelers: two free nights in Doha for passengers who book a qualifying Qatar Airways itinerary from the UK with a stop in the city before the final destination. The stay is in a standard room at a participating four-star hotel, for one or two guests, and is free of charge.
The dates matter. Bookings open on November 16, 2026 and run to February 16, 2027, while the first eligible stays start on November 19, 2026 and run to September 30, 2027, subject to availability and blackout dates. The offer applies to new bookings made through participating Qatar Airways and travel trade channels, so existing stopover reservations and one-night stays are excluded.
There are upgrades available for a price. Travelers can pay the difference to move to a five-star property or pay for a third or fourth night, and meals and other services may be extra. In other words, the headline is free rooms, but the full trip cost depends on what you add around them.
Per Travel Weekly, as cited in the coverage, the UK is serving as a test market, and any wider rollout will depend on how it performs. If you are planning a long-haul trip to Asia, Africa or Australia from Britain this winter or next year, it is worth pricing a Doha routing against a direct flight before the booking window closes.
