Royal Caribbean has opened its summer 2028 program, more than a year and a half before the first ship sails. The line will deploy 11 ships on voyages from April through October 2028, departing from Florida, Texas, Puerto Rico and the northeastern United States. Itineraries cover the Caribbean, The Bahamas and Mexico, with some sailings reaching Bermuda, Canada and New England.
Four Icon Class ships anchor the lineup, according to the announcement. Hero of the Seas begins seven-night Caribbean sailings from Miami in April 2028, while Legend of the Seas offers six- and eight-night trips from Fort Lauderdale and Star of the Seas runs seven-night itineraries from Port Canaveral. Icon of the Seas sails six- and eight-night Western Caribbean trips from Galveston, calling at Cozumel and Roatán, Honduras.
The rest of the fleet fills in other ports. Harmony of the Seas also sails from Port Canaveral, Brilliance of the Seas from Tampa, Enchantment of the Seas from San Juan, and Vision of the Seas from Baltimore with Bermuda in its mix. Independence of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas sail from Cape Liberty, New Jersey. Symphony of the Seas, based in Miami, is slated for additional onboard experiences in 2028, though the scope has not been disclosed.
Private destinations feature prominently: Perfect Day CocoCay’s Thrill Waterpark has 14 waterslides, and Royal Beach Club Paradise Island day passes are available on eligible Nassau calls but are not automatically included in every fare. Members of the Crown & Anchor Society received priority access first, with general booking scheduled to open later on November 5.
