A New Orleans Bank Tower Just Became a Fairmont Hotel

A 31-story former Bank of New Orleans building has begun a new life as a luxury hotel. Travel Extra’s November openings roundup lists the Fairmont New Orleans as opening on November 2, with 250 rooms and a skyline rooftop bar. The roundup is the only source we found for the dates, so guests should confirm details with the hotel before booking.

The same roundup flags a Dubai return. The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm reopened on November 1 after a renovation, with 290 refreshed rooms, a St. Regis spa and an open-air rooftop culinary garden. It is one of several established Gulf properties refreshing their product as the winter season approaches.

Later this month, the Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Resort & Spa is due to debut on November 28 on Seven Mile Beach. Travel Extra describes it as a 382-key beach resort with premier spa facilities and expansive oceanfront pools, which would make it one of the larger new resort openings in the Caribbean this winter.

Other November items on the list include Casa Verbena Madrid, a 45-key hotel from Hilton’s Outset Collection that opened on November 4, and the reopening of Hotel Raphaël in Paris after a major renovation.
