Four new American Airlines gates have opened at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport: A10, A11, A13 and A15. They are part of a 140,000-square-foot expansion of the pier in Terminal A, according to Aviation Week’s weekly airport roundup.
Six more gates are still to come, which will bring the total number of new gates in the project to 10. The roundup does not give a date for the remaining gates, so travelers connecting through Terminal A may see construction activity for some time.
Other airport news in the same roundup includes a tender by Spanish operator Aena for a €41.6 million ($46.6 million) renovation of Valencia’s Runway 12-30 along with taxiway and perimeter road upgrades. The work is scheduled to run 27 months, from May 2027 to July 2029, mostly during overnight closures, with airlines promised detailed schedules well in advance.
Groupe ADP also reported nine-month revenue of €5.1 billion ($5.7 billion), up 1.4%, while Paris traffic fell 0.4% to 80.9 million passengers. The group blamed Middle East conflict disruptions to international traffic flows for weighing on its activity.
