Berlin’s Winter Map Just Gained a Baltic Surprise

Brandenburg Gate in Berlin

Wizz Air has added a new route between Berlin Brandenburg and Vilnius, flying three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with Airbus A321neo aircraft. The airline says the addition takes its Berlin network to 17 destinations in 13 countries for winter 2026-27. It was listed in an industry roundup of route changes for the week of October 26.

The Vilnius link is not the only change. Wizz Air will also start daily flights between Berlin and Milan on December 14, a step up from a less frequent pattern that suits business and weekend travellers who want to avoid committing to fixed days. A daily schedule makes the route far easier to plan around, particularly for short city breaks that depend on flexible departure days.

Berlin’s winter schedule has been busy: other carriers are shifting capacity as the season changes, and the new Vilnius route gives the Lithuanian capital a direct connection to Germany that travellers previously needed another carrier or a stopover to make. The three-times-weekly pattern is modest, so those wanting a long weekend will find Friday outbound and Monday return the most natural fit.

For passengers, the lesson is to check the days of operation before booking, as the Vilnius service does not run daily. Wizz Air is a low-cost carrier, so baggage and seat selection are typically charged on top of base fares, and the total cost depends on how you pack. Compare the full price, not just the headline fare.
