Frontier Airlines is reshaping its executive team. Michael Delehant joins on November 30 as executive vice president and chief operating officer, overseeing all airline operations and reporting to CEO Jimmy Dempsey. He most recently served as group managing director at Wizz Air and previously held senior roles at Vueling and Southwest.
Two operations and customer leaders are leaving. Trevor Stedke, senior vice president of operations, and Alex Clerc, senior vice president of customers, depart on November 13, and no reason was given for either exit.
Internal promotions fill other posts: James Fenner, a Frontier veteran of more than a decade, becomes senior vice president and chief revenue officer, and Bobby Schroeter becomes senior vice president and chief marketing officer. Both report to Dempsey.
The changes follow third-quarter results showing a $104 million net loss, compared with $77 million a year earlier, though the ultra-low-cost carrier reported a $40 million profit excluding special items on record revenue of $1.36 billion. For passengers, operational leadership is the area to watch.
