Every non-Thai visitor is now required to complete a Thailand Digital Arrival Card, or TDAC, before entering the country. The online form is free and must be submitted within three days of arrival, and it officially replaces the old paper TM6 arrival card that travelers used to fill out on the plane or at immigration.

The switch is part of a broader regional shift toward digital pre-arrival systems, similar to programs Thailand’s neighbors have adopted in recent years. For most tourists the form takes only a few minutes — basic passport, flight, and accommodation details — but it’s an extra step that’s easy to forget if you’re used to Thailand’s old paper process.
